30TH CEI CONFERENCE AALBORG DENMARK

On 27^th June 2016, the 30^th International Conference of CARETAKERS OF THE ENVIRONMENT INTERNATIONAL started in Aalborg, the fourth largest city of Denmark, and lasted 7 days with a great number of participants, students and teachers, from all over the world.

The 30^th anniversary conference theme was “Sustainable societies” and all students presented their projects, related to environmental issues in the context of education, on which they had been working on during the school year 2015-16.

The Greek branch participated with 6 delegates, 4 students (Eleftheria Vlachou /12^th Senior High School of Thessaloniki, George Kontogoulidis, Theofilos Kevezitidis, Andromachi Kontogoulidou), 2 teachers (John Papoutsakis /12^th Senior High School of Thessaloniki and Niovi Iliadou, member of Caretakers-Greece).

The topic of the Greek delegation project was, “SUSTAINABLE URBAN MOBILITY (SUM) How to make our life easier in Thessaloniki” and it was carried out in cooperation with the Centre of Research and Technology Hellas/Hellenic Institute of Transport (HERTH/HIT). The Greek delegates also participated in the food and fun market with Greek delicacies and the cultural evening with a Greek folk dance.

While attending the conference the delegates enjoyed a visit to the zoo and the Vikings Museum a well as a guided tour of the city of Aalborg. In addition, they were taken on a field trip to sustainable/renewable power plants, a windmill park and an organic farm.

The 30^th CEI Conference in Denmark was a great experience for the Greek delegation!

30th CEI CONFERENCE   ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΣΥΜΜΕΤΟΧΗ

Στις 27 Ιουνίου 2016, άρχισε το 30^ο Παγκόσμιο Συνέδριο/Νεανικό Φόρουμ CARETAKERS OF THE ENVIRONMENT INTERNATIONAL στο Aalborg της Δανίας, την τέταρτη μεγαλύτερη πόλη της χώρας, και διήρκεσε 7 ημέρες με μεγάλη συμμετοχή  μαθητών και καθηγητών από όλο τον κόσμο.

Το  επετειακό 30^ο συνέδριο είχε σαν θέμα “Sustainable societies” και σ’ αυτό οι μαθητές παρουσίασαν τις ερευνητικές εργασίες-projects που πραγματοποίησαν στα σχολεία τους το 2015-2016.

Το ελληνικό παράρτημα των “Caretakers of the environment Greece” αντιπροσωπεύθηκε από 4 μαθητές (Ελευθερία Βλάχου από το 12^ο Λύκειο Θεσσαλονίκης και Γιώργο Κοντογουλίδη, Θεόφιλο Κεβεζιτίδη, Ανδρομάχη Κεβεζιτίδου) και 2 καθηγητές (Γιάννη Παπουτσάκη από το 12^ο Λύκειο Θεσσαλονίκης και Νιόβη Ηλιάδου μέλος των Caretakers).

Η ερευνητική εργασία που παρουσιάσθηκε είχε σαν θέμα «Βιώσιμη Αστική Κινητικότητα» “SUSTAINABLE URBAN MOBILITY (SUM) How to make our life easier in Thessaloniki” και η οποία έγινε σε συνεργασία με το ερευνητικό κέντρο  ΕΚΕΤΑ (Ινστιτούτο Μεταφορών). Η ελληνική αντιπροσωπεία επίσης συμμετείχε με ελληνικό φαγητό στο food and fun market και παραδοσιακό χορό στο cultural evening.

Κατά τη διάρκεια του συνεδρίου έγιναν δυο απογευματινές επισκέψεις, μια στην πόλη του Aalborg και μια στο ζωολογικό κήπο και το Μουσείο των Vikings, καθώς και ένα field trip σε μονάδες παραγωγής βιώσιμης ενέργειας και βιολογικών προϊόντων καθώς και σε πάρκο ανεμογεννητριών.

Το 30^ο συνέδριο στη Δανία ήταν μια ξεχωριστή εμπειρία για την ελληνική αποστολή! 

On June 27, 2016, the 30th International Conference / Youth Forum CARETAKERS OF THE ENVIRONMENT INTERNATIONAL began in Aalborg, Denmark, the fourth largest city in the country, and lasted 7 days with a large participation of students and teachers from all over the world.
The 30th anniversary conference focused on "Sustainable societies" and the students presented the research projects they carried out in their schools in 2015-2016.
The Greek Annex of "Caretakers of the Environment Greece" was represented by 4 students (Eleftheria Vlachou, Giorgos Kontogoulides, Theophilos Kevezitidis, Andromachi Kevezitidou) and 2 teachers (Giannis Papoutsakis and Niovi Iliadou members of the Caretakers ).
The research project presented as "SUSTAINABLE URBAN MOBILITY (SUM)-How to make life easier in Thessaloniki" was held in collaboration with the HIT (Hellenic Institute of Transport) research center. The Greek delegation also participated at the food and fun market and performed traditional dance at the cultural evening.
Two afternoon visits took place during the conference, one in the city of Aalborg and one in the zoo and the Vikings Museum, as well as a field trip to sustainable energy and organic production units and a wind farm park.


The 30th Congress in Denmark was a marvelous experience for the Greek delegation!
